From Rio on WV 29, go west on CR 53 about three miles to its junction with CR 1. From that point, drive north 2.0 miles on CR 7, then NW on Grassy Lick Road (CR10) another seven miles, to the left entrance into the Nathaniel Mountain Wildlife Management Area (WMA). The road first traverses private property, and enters the WMA at 1.3 miles. Pass gate at 3.5 miles, a saddle at 4.1, another gate soon after, house on left/garage on right at 5.1, climbable fire tower at 5.6. Bear left at 5.8 and reach the road crest at 6.2 miles. The high point is about 50 yards left of the road, on a rock outcrop. The dirt road is pretty good, but looked as if it would quickly get very muddy in rainy weather.
