Lewis County Highpoint Trip Report

unnamed area (1,960+ ft)

I followed Mike Schwartz's "do as I say, not as I do" suggestion for this one. As he surmised, a passenger car can indeed be driven up Warden Lane (not Road) to the saddle on the pipeline. Four stream fordings are required, a couple of which might be a bit dicey in times of high water. There is plenty of room to park at the saddle. The woods on both sides of the pipeline are posted, but not the pipeline itself. The ascent on an ATV track on the pipeline right-of-way is rather steep in places and I found myself stopping to catch my breath several times. I thought the high area was on a slight rise that bore four trees, on the right side of the pipeline as you ascend.
