Wood County High Point Trip Report

Mike Schwartz's trip report helped us find the highpoint on the map, but we used an alternate route.
From Route 50 a few paces east of the Wood/Ritchie County line take the gated road to the south. The gate
was not locked and no signs whatsoever. The road leads almost directly (approximately 1 mile) to the
southern highpoint with the water tower. The northern highpoint is just a stone's throw from the road along
the way to the southern highpoint. The northern highpoint is almost undoubtedly lower, but I will leave it
for someone else to determine. It's a piece of cake, though (besides a few briers), to visit both.
